March 8, 2012 Headed down to Austin Texas once again for the South by Southwest music festival. This will be my 7th year doing this for KEXP. This year we will be back at Mellow Johnny’s bike shop doing three days ( March 14-16) of remote broadcasting. Five bands a day will play live on the air. Bands such as , The Wedding Present, Of Monsters and Men, Shearwater, Imperial Teen, and Allen Stone are scheduled to perform. It’s free and all ages so if your in Austin come on by. Check out kexp.org for a complete listing. Your Imaginary Friend is a collection of traditional tunes (and a few originals) geared towards the kids. Performed by Greg Ruby and Jana Vitols as well as a few of their friends. Greg did the recording and they brought it to me to mix in the Imperial Room.
