As the in-house designer for the non-profit People For Puget Sound, I designed the invitations and other materials for the annual auction and dinner event. The first year made an acrylic painting of Seattle at night with orca whales in the foreground. I used the image as the basis for all the materials. The painting was then auctioned off at the event, which brought in about $500. The next year I made the sea star image you see above using Illustrator and Photoshop. Again I used the image as the basis for the materials, but since we didn't have a physical painting we had large prints of the image made and framed them and auctioned off the prints. This brought in almost $1,000 during the auction. |
