One of my first tasks as the in-house designer at Washington Toxics Coalition, a Seattle non-profit, was to redesign their print newsletter. Their old newsletter was two-colos and 12-pages. I was able to find a new printer that still used 100% PCW paper and soy inks but also had 4-color capabilities. I also tightened up the content and made it an 8-page newsletter, which lowered postage costs. The new design used the new branding guidelines I had established and was very well received by both the staff and membership. |
